"Way Easier Than I Expected"
I had to file a claim after the rental company charged me for some minor damage. Compared to other insurance-type claims I’ve dealt with, this was much smoother. I just uploaded the documents, got updates quickly, and the whole thing didn’t turn into a stressful back-and-forth. They paid me back without making it a big headache, so I’m really happy with how it went.

"Got there eventually, but the app was annoying"
The website was fine enough, nothing amazing but it did the job. The app, though, was kind of a clunky little pain in the ass. I did end up finding what I needed, but it took way longer than it should have for such a basic thing.

"Decent cover, but could be clearer..."
I used Rentalcover.com for a recent car hire and the price was reasonable. Buying the cover was straightforward enough... no real problems there. The main issue for me was figuring out exactly what was included. Some parts were easy to understand, but other sections felt a bit vague, so I ended up reading around more than I expected. It all worked out fine in the end, but I do think the coverage details could be written in a simpler way. Not bad overall... just not as clear as it could be

I liked that the exclusions were shown clearly before I bought anything. I usually don’t fully trust customer service to explain the fine print after the fact, so seeing everything laid out upfront made me feel better. No hidden stuff, and the whole process felt simple and fair...

"Fair damage check in the end"
Had to file a claim after a small scrape on the rental car, and was expecting some back and forth about it. Turned out the damage check was fair and lined up with the photos I had.
Took a bit longer than I wanted, so can’t really give 5 stars, but felt like the whole thing was handled reasonably. Didn’t feel ripped off, which I appreciated

The claim was easy to do, and they ended up refunding the full amount, which was great. It did take a few days, and I was a little confused at first because I wasn’t sure if anything else was needed from me. But in the end there was no arguing, no deductions, and the money all came back.

I bought this for a rental car and it worked fine overall, but I did have to stop and double-check the rules around vans and larger vehicles. It wasn’t difficult to figure out, but I wish the eligibility details were made a bit clearer before checkout. Personally, I’d still say it’s a good option, just make sure your vehicle is covered before you buy.

I went with RentalCover pretty much right away once I saw the cover amount matched my rental car deductible almost exactly. That was the main thing I cared about — I didn’t want some random gap hanging over me. Setup was quick, the documents were clear enough, and even though I didn’t end up needing to make a claim, I felt like I had the right cover for the trip.

"Good price for cover"
I used RentalCover for my last car hire because insurance at rental desk was way too expensive. The price was much better, and cover looked clear to me. I didn’t need to make a claim, so can’t really comment on that part, but for the value it felt like a smart choice. I’d use it again.

"Pretty good site, and the language option really helped"
I used rentalcover for a recent car hire trip, having the website show up in my own language made the whole thing much less stressful. Maybe it’s just me, but insurance wording can feel confusing even on a good day, so that really helped me feel like I understood what I was choosing.
The booking itself was quick, and the confirmation emails came through translated too. They weren’t perfect, and a few phrases sounded a bit odd, but I could still follow everything fine. The price was also better than what they offered me at the rental desk, which felt like a win.
I didn’t have to make a claim, so I can’t really comment on that side of things. I’m giving it 4 stars because the translations could be smoother, but overall it was easy to use and I felt comfortable with the purchase

I booked my rental from the US for a trip to Spain, and the coverage was available without any issues. I wasn’t totally sure at first if I was missing something or if it would work the same once I got there, but it ended up being straightforward. It was nice not having to search around for different options in each country.

"Accepted fine, but the counter experience could’ve been clearer"
RentalCover.com was accepted at the counter, so at least that part went smoothly. The staff still made a point of trying to sell me their own cover, which was a little confusing and, not exactly helpful after I’d already sorted insurance. The price was okay, but the paperwork at pickup could definitely be clearer, would’ve been nice to not have to second-guess everything while standing there.

"Changing my policy was surprisingly easy"
I ended up needing to change my rental dates at the last minute because my travel plans shifted after I’d already packed most of my stuff, and I was expecting it to be annoying. But on rentalcover it was straightforward. I didn’t have to make a long phone call or deal with a bunch of confusing forms, I just updated the policy and got the new details quickly. It was nice that something so small didn’t turn into a whole project.
